New England Support Groups

Numerous MDDA and DBSA groups meet in the Greater Boston area, usually on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The list below reflects our best information at this time. Group Leaders, please contact the webmaster with any changes. Thank you!

Connecticut

Location Time Description
Assorted Varies Depression and manic-depression support groups meet in Danbury, Farmington, Naugatuck, Norwich, Orange, Portland, Stratford, Wallingford, and Windsor. General mental health groups for those with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and/or relationship problems meet in Danbury (women only), Meriden, Waterbury/Mattatuck, and West Hartford. Newcomers’ meetings at 6:30 pm		 DBSA-Attleboro meetings take place at the Hillside Adult Day Health Center, 50 Walton Street, Attleboro. Email us or call 508-222-7525 ext 407.
DBSA-Boston (Located at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA) Every Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm Wed. evenings 7-9 p.m. Meets every Wednesday from 7-9pm in the de Marneffe Cafeteria, McLean Hospital, 115 Mill Street, Belmont. Lectures from 7-8 pm on 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month. Variety of groups including Newcomers, Young Adults, Women's, and Friends & Families. Additionally, there are drop-in groups on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 1:30pm to 3:30pm in room 132 in the deMarneffe building cafateria. DBSA-Boston (Located at Mass General Hospital in Boston) Every Thursday 7:00pm to 9:00pm The MGH groups meet at the Yawkey Outpatient Clinic on the fourth floor in the Schiff Conference Room.
Boston MDDA/Downtown Massachusetts General Hospital Every Thursday, 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Meets at the Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care at Massachusetts General Hospital, 4th Floor, Suite 4A, Schiff Conference Center Room 4, Boston , MA. The Yawkey Center is less than 100 yards from the Charles/MGH Red line stop.
